Slam Dunk 2012 south

Slam Dunk this year hosted a line of incredible bands, with Gallows and Architects headlining. You could feel the buzz for these, especially Architects with their new album “Daybreaker” due for release the following day.

The Honour Over Glory stage was packed full of fans, who weren’t to be disappointed. Opening with ‘Early Grave’ the crowd got straight into it, creating an incredible atmosphere and setting the tone for the rest of the show , every song the band where able to get the crowd moving, endless crowd surfers being pulled over the front barriers.

They played song from the new album “Daybreaker” and the previous two, “The here and now” and “Hollow Crown”. Architects were able to keep the atmosphere of the entire day alive, with everyone singing along, including to their new single ‘These colours don’t run’ which has had an amazing reaction from the fans. They also played Hollow Crown, which is a clear favourite with the fans, as every word was sung along to and for a few minutes changed the dynamics of the crowd. During the set they thanked the crowd for their support and how they felt honoured to be played above so many other bands. They were a great way to end the day at Slam Dunk, even though the crowd were exhausted after a long day of being in the sun and enjoying the music, Architects were still able to create an energetic set, filling the fans with a new buzz.
